My name is Elena Leonova, and I’m a Cheshire-based artist and designer with a passion for exploring different creative avenues. Throughout my life, art has been a constant source of fascination. It’s been a path of self-discovery, leading me to develop not just one, but two unique artistic voices.
One signature technique involves creating artwork directly on metal mesh. This process is then followed by mounting the mesh onto a wood panel. The result? Richly textured pieces with a captivating depth that draw viewers in.
My other artistic passion lies in freehand bleach painting on black cotton fabric. This technique allows me to create unique and expressive designs, the contrast between the bleached areas and the deep black fabric adding a striking visual element.
Both my metal mesh work and my bleach paintings are infused with my love for impressionism and figurative art. This combination allows me to explore the complexities of human emotions, drawing inspiration from the everyday experiences that shape our lives and the world around us.
The human condition is a captivating subject for me. I strive to capture my own emotions and observations in both my metal mesh pieces and my bleach paintings, hoping to spark a connection with viewers. Ultimately, my goal is to evoke a shared experience, inviting you to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us through my artistic lens.
The most fulfilling aspect of my work is the connection I forge with my audience. When you, the viewer, share your interpretations and resonate with the emotions in my art, it fuels my creative spirit and brings me immense satisfaction.
Below are some samples of the work I have created in the past. This website will be updated constantly in the future, but for now it is a temporary display piece, if you will.
